2. Overview

Welcome to it's me ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our application and related services (the "Service").

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about our data processing. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.

3. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Email address and password when creating an account
  • Release Waitlist Information: Email address submitted to receive a one-time app launch notification
  • Assessment Responses: Your answers to the 48 values assessment questions
  • me book Data: Your conversation content with the me book feature, AI-generated chapter summaries, session history, and actions
  • Compatibility Data: Invite codes, the name you give the other person (optional), the relationship type, and the generated compatibility reading
  • Payment Information: Subscription (monthly billing) payments are processed through the App Store or Google Play. We do not directly collect or retain payment details such as credit card numbers

4. AI Features

4.1 Data Transmission to External AI Services

For the me book feature (dialogue with AI and chapter generation) and for generating compatibility readings, your conversation content and assessment results are sent to and processed by the following external AI services.

  • OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States)
  • Google LLC (Gemini, United States)

Both act as our processors and handle the data only within the scope of our instructions. We ask for your consent to this transmission the first time you use these features. Without that consent, these features are unavailable.

4.2 Model Training and the Identifier We Send

We use these services under terms and settings where the data we send is not used to train AI models. Requests to OpenAI use a setting that does not retain data on their servers.

For abuse detection we send only a one-way, non-reversible transformation of your account identifier. We do not send your email address or other contact details. Logs of AI calls record only usage volume and the outcome category, never the conversation content itself.

4.3 Data Storage

me book conversation history and generated chapters are stored on Google's cloud service (Firebase) linked to your account. This enables:

  • Reviewing and reflecting on past chapters
  • Managing actions from chapters
  • Continuing dialogue from past chapters

4.4 Data Deletion

me book data can be deleted in the following ways:

  • Individual Chapter Deletion: Delete specific chapters from within the app
  • Account Deletion: Deleting your account will permanently delete all associated data including all chapters and conversation history

5. How We Use Your Information

  • Generate and display values assessment results
  • Store assessment results
  • Provide the me book feature (AI dialogue, chapter generation and storage, action management)
  • Manage subscriptions
  • Providing compatibility readings (issuing and matching invite codes, generating and storing readings)
  • Send a one-time notification when the app launches
  • Properly operate the service

6. Information Sharing and Disclosure

    6.1 Sharing with Third Parties

    We do not sell or transfer your personal information to third parties. However, exceptions include:

    • Transmission to external AI services (OpenAI, Google) necessary to provide the AI features
    • Information provided to platforms (App Store, Google Play) necessary for payment processing
    • Processing and storage by Netlify, our form handling provider, for the release waitlist
    • When disclosure is required by law

    6.2 Transfers Outside Your Country

    Our servers (Google Cloud / Firebase) and the external AI services in Section 4 are located in the United States. Your personal information is therefore transferred to the United States. We have data processing agreements in place with each recipient and review their handling periodically.

    6.3 Sharing with Another User in Compatibility

    In compatibility, a summary of your assessment result (your type name and the composition of your values) is provided to the person you connect with via an invite code. This is a disclosure to a third party based on your consent.

    Not shared with them: your email address, your conversations with the AI, your me book, and the name you gave that person (which is shown only on your own screen).

7. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention Period

Assessment data and me book data (chapters, conversation history, actions) are retained on Google's cloud service (Firebase) until you delete your account or delete them individually.

Compatibility pairs and the readings generated for them are retained until you delete your account.

Release waitlist email addresses are stored using Netlify Forms until the launch notification is sent and for up to three months afterward, unless you request earlier deletion.

9. Personal Information Disclosure

We will promptly disclose personal information to individuals when requested.

In addition to disclosure, we respond to requests for correction, addition, deletion, and suspension of use. Please direct requests to the contact in Section 1. If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

10. Privacy Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will post the new Privacy Policy on this page.
